You probably didn't read my last post, before yours but you can well imagine someone who got so used to using book value as applied to an asset rather than to a whole company, because, after all, the term "book value" when applied to a whole company is pretty meaningless. The company depreciation and amortization really don't coincide with any semblance of real value.
