I totally agree. I don't think we can do it just now because we don't want to show any "linkage". But we don't need this crap off the Germans and I suspect the administration is going to be seeing it that way, as well.

They're being naive if they don't think they can be hit.

It sounds like nothing will happen until after Friday.

While this may get repaired and painted over with a shiny new coat of paint, if you don't get all of the rust off first, it will just show through a little later. Frankly, this will have repercussions later on. My bet is that a major reduction of US troops in Germany is a done deal, they just don't know it yet.
