A note for Win Smith:

This kind of taunting label is exactly what Orwell was rejecting in "Politics and the English Language" It is true that Hitchens' coinage has some slight originality, but in that essay Orwell was not calling for newer and fresher clichés and smears.

"Islamofascist" is exactly what Orwell would have called bin Laden.

It's a perfectly descriptive term. It's a pretty decent noun.

Does it offend your aesthetic sensibilities? Is it impolite? Or do you wish not to call a mortal enemy of our society by a clear descriptive term? What is it you do not wish to look at?

You keep attempting to police language here but I don't notice you suggesting alternative usage. Rather, it appears you don't want some people to say what they say.
