bob, generally you should start with atleast 5K. For cheap commish and fast execution I use interactivebrokers.com $4.80rt/contract. But for cheap commish you get no phone support.

The mini's are really cheap and it's like playing at the casino, it's only 50 bucks a point and they're loads of fun...<g> and now, after an hour or two of play and 100 bucks, I'm already home for dinner, I never left my house, it's neat...
