I am, of course, aware of these things. My references were, obviously, directed toward a very few shelters and loopholes that very high-incomed individuals might take advantage of (such as corporate executives)... though the list was in no way comprehensive. (Consult your accountant or favorite politician-for-hire.) Our federal tax code and all administrative interpretations - put end-to-end - would stretch longer than a football field. That's not because it's simple... or lacking in loopholes and special tax preference items!
