TOKYO, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Metatron Technologies, Inc., a leader in the development of wireless network optimization solutions, today obtained a QUALCOMM WCDMA (UMTS) serial interface license. The agreement enables Metatron Technologies to manufacture and sell wireless network testing and optimization solutions for WCDMA (UMTS) based wireless networks. The license furthers Metatron Technologies' efforts to build single platform solutions that can readily be configured for multiple wireless technologies. Initially, this license will enable the DimensionZ(TM) network optimization software platform to easily interface with phones that utilize QUALCOMM's WCDMA (UMTS) chipset. Manufacturers using this chipset today in their WCDMA phones include QUALCOMM (in their UMTS test UE), Sanyo, Samsung, and LG Electronics. Utilizing one network optimization platform that addresses multiple wireless technologies helps mobile operators streamline and cost-effectively manage the deployment, optimization and monitoring of 3G wireless networks.
