>>> you are completely wrong<<<

Hey, I'm not beyond being wrong. And I've made more than a few mistakes since this thread began.

>>>I don't want war<<<

That's comforting. But it's hard to tell since what you've been writing about seems almost as if it's been written by half of the respondents to the poll showing that they believed Iraqis were actually on the planes in the 9/11 tragedy. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11!

>>>war is inescapable if you are going to defend Saddam's not complying with what is required of him by the WORLD, not by Republicans but by the entire WORLD<<<

I answered you a long time ago that a war on Iraq would not be a just war, we would not be defending ourselves or someone else under attack; that not all remedies have been exhausted and the continuation of the inspection program proves this; and that the war itself would create more harm to people than not promulgating the war.

You essentially responded to the paragraph above not by trying to understand the meaning to what I wrote, or to inquire more what exactly I meant; instead you retorted with a heaping of insult, abuse, name-calling all that sorta stuff. Most unkind!

>>>if Saddam skates then the prospect of having a new International Order, post 9/11, through the UN or otherwise, FAILS and the prospect of WORLD PEACE FAILS<<<

There are plenty of things in play. Too many for this war. But certainly among them is the instability of the region itself and the strong possibility the conflict could expand into places like Turkey; Iran could get involved; Israel-Palestine could light to new levels; Pakistan, which has nuclear weapons could see an Al Qaeda-led revolt; and we've already seen North Korea seize the window of vulnerability to make a power move. Already, in the process of trying to find this war, Bush has alienated allies once held in deep pride. All of the preceeding of this paragraph are important to consider. But perhaps more important than any of this, is the fact that Bush moving with war on Iraq does exactly what OBL wants and provides him a means of recruiting a new generation of terrorists he otherwise might have a difficult time of reaching out toward. And, of course, there's more.

>>>AND THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE ADVOCATING - THE FAILURE OF WORLD PEACE.<<<

To the contrary. Bush is on a collision course to oblivion for a lot of the world's people. And the fact that our governmnet is outright lying and distorting and twisting historical events in order to make its case should make anyone, certainly an attorney, suspect to what's going on.

Peace, Vitas!
