Actually, The wealthiest 5 percent pay more than half the taxes, while people in the bottom half pay just 4 percent. abcnews.go.com The problem with this, as we all know is that it doesn't include the most egregious of all taxes, payroll taxes, which inappropriately soak the poor and middle class.
