But of course, you still believe your president.

I do, because he has thus far proven to be trustworthy.

On 9/12/2001, I immediately recognized the war we were entering into wasn't synonomous with Bin Laden, would take MANY years (10, 20?) and that the events of 9/11/01 would quickly be politicized by the Left and forgotten by the population long before the war was over.

To suggest that Al Queda should have been eradicated by now is just one more demonstration of how weak you are. It may be years before Al Queda is dealt with. Should we just give up on all national defense until the job is done?

This wouldn't be a problem if Your Guy hadn't gutted our military over the last 8 years.

Yeah, the tape yesterday, the bombing in Bali, the killings in the Phillipines, today's restrictions at Heathrow Airport and the current Orange Status Alert the entire country is on.

All of which do not contradict the idea that we have killed or rounded up a lot of Al Qaeda.

If there are 10,000 of them and you kill or capture over 1,000 that still leaves 9,000 left to cause problems. Of course most of those 9k will not be skilled trained terrorists but lets say 200 are. That couple of hundred can cause problems.

Tim

Serious Question:

Let's assume that the MOST COMPETENT president you can envision had been elected in '00 -- pick anyone you wish.

How long do you think it should have taken THAT president and his DOD to eliminate Al Qaeda or substantially eliminate its threat to us?

Ted, so it's your belief that had we not been focusing on Iraq that Al Qaeda wouldn't be as big a threat as it is today?

That's really easy to say for someone who has a bone to pick with the current administration.
