The real scam is that all taxes should be 'pay for what you use.' Why should anybody, regardless of income level, pay more for a cop, a firefighter, a soldier, or a teacher than anybody else? Why should I pay more for medicare than somebody else when our benefit is exactly the same. Why should I pay it at all if I don't use it?
