which is better 1. Get more money out of something than you put in, 2. Get less out of something than you put in.

I am not assuming or presuming what exactly anybody does with their money. But if I have an investment, especially something I am forced to contribute to over a 40 year period, and I don't even get a 1% rate of return... thats bad. If another group has the same investment, contributes far less, and is able to receive a substantial rate of return... thats good for them. I don't see how you can argue with that.
