Derek, Minority now, but i posited my post based on a bloodier war in iraq that we expect and repeated terror attacks. The Europeans reacted to terror by sacrificing the jews and appeasing the terror states. America to its everlasting credit reacted the opposite. But if we cant show folks that we are winning the terror war, the nativist impulses here will grow too. Folks will be more concerned with protecting their loved ones. Arab Americans will suffer real loss of civil rights and some will buy into the fantasy that israel and zionism are at the root of the hatred. The moral of my story is to win in Iraq decisively, with partners if possible, alone if necessary. And then back to Afganistan & Pakistan and wherever else they are hiding, to root out al quaida even if there is a price to pay in American lives. We must destroy these bastards. These terror alerts alone will bring down the world economy if nothing else. Mike
