Powell may claim he used diplomacy over the past two years, but the kind of diplomacy I'm referring to does not rely on issuing ultimatims but requires face-to-face contact either by Powell himself or by an intermediary. The administration seems to think that all they have to do is order what they want, and if the other guy refuses, well then, it's time to go to war. That's just plain stupid.
