That's about right, but fails to consider the size of the account. The statistics are much more favorable if the initial size of the account is over $50k, presumably because that buys you time and lets you learn from mistakes. I've read Victor Niderhoffer's [sp?] and seeing his career, I've decided to stay away from currency markets :)

PS Victor was a top currency trader for George Soros who later successfully ran his own hedge fund before going bankrupt in a matter of a week.
