Sun Tzu - I will not be around much today but if you PM me a mail address, and can send you info on Turkish t-bills.

Oh and by the way, I forgot to tell you the most important difference between Turkey and Iran regarding t-bills - Iran (like most, if not all, other Muslim countries) does not have interest-bearing financial instruments, because "money you have not earned by working is not halal" :-)

Banks in some of these countries hand out "participation shares" or something - the theory being that you have indirectly invested in the companies that the bank invests in, out of the earnings of which you get a periodic share. These "shares" curiously parallel interest rate payments, though.
