Christians can't be jerks? Someone should have told Jesus... John 2:14 And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15 and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables; Jesus leaves - makes a scourge - returns - has what many may call a 'hissy fit' How many hours or days does it take to make a whip? He starts whipping people - yelling - and physically and aggressively overthrows tables that are not His property in a church where he is not ordained to do anything. Could that be called being a bit of a Jerk? Everyone knows that "judging others" is wrong - right? John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.... I guess Jesus - being God can judge without being a jerk. Matthew 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine... Oh boy - now telling others who are but mere men to judge others as being "dogs and swine" is going too far - Jesus was a jerk.... Everyone knows that "name calling" is wrong - right? Jesus in Matthew 23 called the clergy of the day: Inferred"Lazy" vrs 4 "men pleasers" vrs 5 "self gratifying" vrs 6 "proud" vrs 7 "condemned" vrs 35 Direct quote "hypocrites" vrs 13 "damned" vrs 14 "Fools" vrs 17 "blind" vrs 17 "unclean and dead" vrs 27 "iniquitous" vrs 28 "snakes damned to hell" vrs 33 Name calling and judgement mixed together - what a Jerk!!! Let's face it - by any politically correct standard - Jesus was an JERK :-) I really love Him however - I think He was right on !!! Some people deserve to be judged as dogs and treated as such. Yes - I am a Jerk.
