The amount of aid we'll be sending to Africa is chump change compared to the amount we're spending on defense and anti-terrorism efforts. Yet I'm sure Africans will welcome every dollar in aid that we provide. (Except, of course, Nelson Mandela because of his hatred of Bush.)

In any case, I was quick to dismiss Clinton's speech as more of his antics. If anything, he may have been instrumental in bringing the African AIDS epidemic to world attention.

Now if only we didn't have to dive deeper into deficit spending. Kind of reduces the room we have for tax cuts (one half of Greenspan's view).
