$638M !

Not bad. That means they sold about 5 million N charges. I might buy a few shares, things have perked up at VLNC...

Based on today's action the market took this cc as a completely neutral event. And we can't really expect anything else since the tier 1 contracts still remain to be signed. On the other hand, progress in the large-format area seems to be ahead of schedule, and this will have a huge impact on the future direction and fortunes of this company.

I was also surprised the tier 1 business is for N-Charge units, as Lev had always emphasized the goal of getting some dsign-in battery business going. But with the N-Charge the OEM's are exposed to less risk than they would with a design-in which increases the probability of getting some PO's. And the N-Charge provides more value-added than a plain battery would, which increases bottom-line revenues. Hopefully the OEM's are planning on bundling the N-Charge with some of their notebooks at a better price than customers can buy it from other sources, instead of just offering it as an accessory.

Someone should have asked how the HP business is going. Haven't heard anything about it since it was announced.
