Q1000 - Superb Qommunity Service
Q1000
These summaries -- when you are finished I know they become virtual transcripts -- are a magnificent service to the Qommunity. Profound appreciation is hereby expressed.

I love your reference to TT slide #3, which I call the Penetration Potential. Of course, it skips over Asia except for China and India but Indonesia (Pop #4) and Pakistan, Bangladesh, Russia (all in Pop Top Ten)

I weep over the French decision on Inquam but am not surprised. One of my earlier posts n Stasis in Europe predicted that the Eurofolk will stew in their own juices for a long time. As the governments have been paid >$100B for 3G licenses on 2.1 ghz spectrum, they will have a huge political -- and i believe legal -- problem if they were to allow any 2G spectrum licensee (and same logic applies to 450 mhz licensee) to introduce a 3G (or let's call it a 3G-like) service such as 1X (or, even worse, 1X-EV-DO) on its licensed spectrum.

If you had paid BIG bucks for a 2.1ghz license, wouldn't you be aggrieved if some 2G or analog license holder started pusihing hi data-rate service before you had standards - IOT - and hardware to initiate 3G service???
