First, its only a slim majority, the poll was taken right after Powell's speech and the American public can be very fickled. Actually that poll was from either last night or the night before. I can't remember which evening news I saw it on. Powell gave his speech awhile ago. Just looked it up. The poll was from the 11th. washingtonpost.com Brian
