But it's also a manual for conquest, describing how to face enemies, how to fight, how to treat those who have been conquered, how to treat prisoners, how to treat enemy soldiers. It lays a dual obligation on Muslims: to live a good life and to spread Islam to the entire world, by any means necessary. All successful widespread religions are evangelistic to a greater or lesser extent (with Judaism being the notable exception), but I know of no other major religion whose holy teachings include instructions for how to go to war to spread the faith. Can you document that?

Check out the links below for primary force for invading Iraq. All other reasons in the news media are propaganda of anger, vengeance, destruction of evil, etc. are intended to arouse the frothy and irrational emotion of the mass population for support of war. So there will be destruction and the massacres of tens of thousands of humans. It would be a complete disregard of humanity. Yet many will enjoy the macabre, will drool and laugh and rofl when they see the carnage. I can acknowledge the brilliant strategy, using the 911 event as the backdrop, to use an absolutely superb mind manipulation psychology that hits the very basic level of animal survival instinct, of self defense compounded with anger and wrath of vengeance. Note how this words evil, mass destruction, terrorists, etc are repeated on almost daily basis. This repetition is an absolute must to keep the froth boiling.
