Yahoo is looking for 2billion revenue by 2006. They are already doing 1 billion which is equal to their 2000 peak. Most tech companies are way below 2000 peak but not yahoo, what is really amazing is that most of yhoo 2000 revenue came from dotcoms and other fly by night operations. Now they have real brick and mortar.

At a daylong presentation to analysts Wednesday, Yahoo! revealed plans for premium services that appear to compete with the AOL Time Warner (AOL:NYSE - news - commentary - research - analysis) unit's own strategy for managing Americans' transition to high-speed Internet access from home.

Looking forward, Yahoo! raised 2003 revenue guidance from a range of $1.075 billion to $1.175 billion up to a range of $1.145 billion to $1.215 billion. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization -- a common media-industry financial yardstick -- went from a range of $250 million to $300 million to a range of $295 million to $330 million. Those numbers don't take into account Yahoo!'s pending acquisition of Inktomi (INKT:Nasdaq - news - commentary - research - analysis).
