the stock market will probably rally as soon as it is clear Bush is out, which could be well before the elections depending on the polls.

The problem with polls is they count the "likely voters" so whenever these swing situations come up where the middle of the road voters are angry (as happened in 98) the polls don't catch it. So it could *look* like Bush is in an OK position to win, but he will lose in a landslide imo.

Anyway whenever it is clear he is out the economy will start to improve,the world will relax and international orders for US goods can startup again, etc. We don't have to wait the full 23 months.
