where is the proof? Almost all of those cowards at 9/11 were saudis. Where is the connection to Iraq?

911 was a first strike - I agree.

That is why a war against terror is absolutely correct.
Get Bin Laden and his lieutenants dead or alive!
Cut of his means of support and supply. Absolutely!

Is Saddam a part? I do not know.
I do not have as well-informed links with the intelligence services as you quite clearly do in arriving at your conclusion.

My own opinion, and I put it as opinion, is that they now have a common enemy the United States, and that they shared common enemies previously - Israel, but Saddam is no natural ally of Bin Laden.

Why do you think secular Iraq fought fundamentalist Iran?

They do have a common affinity now against the US, but they are not natural bed-fellows.

In fact Bin Laden is more well linked to the Kurds in the North who are actaully anti-Saddam.

So following the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" school of thought, is the only reason that the two may be connected. But as the US and Saudi Arabia have both found with their friendships with Bin Laden; he hates anyone who he believes is a non-believer and Saddam and his sons actually fit into that category quite well.

The Bushistas have failed to convince the world of this link effectively.
If they proved it (and it is exceptionally hard to prove) then he does have a better pretext of attacking Iraq (IMO) unilaterally than he does about WMD. The US is at war against the Terrorist networks that did 9-11.
The whole world agrees with that.
I am just not so sure the whole world agrees that the infidel-godless-son-of-a-she-pig, that Saddam is held up as by the fundamentalists, is a real part of that.

Basically there is more to link Pakistan and Saudi than Iraq to 9-11.
But that does not fit into The Master Plan.
I am assuming that The Bushistas have one

No more from me on this V - I promise!

Back to the Zigs and the Zags

I think we are still looking at a potential crash situation.

We got a dragonfly doji today at 11Oct2002 gap support.

Possible reversal at support? Maybe!

What Da Bulls need now is
Confirmation - a nice white marazabou would form a doji morning star, and
Follow-Through - new buyers coming in to cause a rally.
This is a 1 to 2 day candle pattern.

What Da Bulls do not need now is
An inside day, especially one that closes down.
This will form a Hirami (pregnant) pattern that indicates a pause/uncertainty.
This lack of confirmation of the reversal would be a sign that a crash is now imminent IMO.
The whole way down we have had unconfirmed/failed reversals while oversold: A Buyers' Strike!

Unfortuneatly it is highly unlikely that I can watch the close today.
If so I would think that some Feb expiry OTM puts could make a good "fire and forget" purchase.

Just my 0.02$
