I know he's very much against the invasion of Iraq. I've been hearing for years, at least ten of appearances of Mary warning against war. I used to think ..what war? no one is crazy enough to start something like this using nuclear weapons. As I have read on SI, there is still fallout from the bombings of the last Gulf War and those armaments weren't nuclear (supposedly, although 40 percent of Iraqis will get cancer in their lifetimes...seems statistically skewed.) Many from our own military who served in the Gulf War under Bush the elder have serious medical maladies. I don't know if you have read but many have stored their sperm before going off to fight because they don't want their future children to have birth defects which have been suffered among the children of returning Gulf War vets.

I hope the pope does go to Baghdad and that he definitively and divinely dare's Bush to bomb him and the 22 million innocent Iraqi citizens (near half of which are children).

Maybe if more Americans knew the age breakdown of Iraq their views would change. I know for a fact that sympathies of Republicans changed when they realized that it wasn't just homosexuals and drug addicts who were impacted by AIDS, but also children.
