No proof?" They blocked for consultations until after the Brix report. 3) "Keep your Israel-baiting to yourself, thank you." you have selective debate techniques. 4) "And the UN would be behind action taken against Iraq, as stipulated in 1441, IF France, Germany and Russia were not blocking action out of cynical and destructive motives. France and Germany have publicly stated that they would veto ANY resolution aimed at bringing Iraq into compliance by force. THAT is for all intents and purposes, totally defying the letter and spirit of 1441. LAST CHANCE means LAST CHANCE." Suggest you read an unbiased translation of what France has said. 5)"Again, keep your Israel baiting to yourself. Is there some sort of handbook out there, "when you have nothing substantive to say, bring up Israel"?" See 3) above. Like it or not Israel's present policies and the US response to these policies are ,in large part, to blame for the anti-American feelings and the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in the ME. Which is also why many ME countries don't support the US as they did in 91 in spite of their desire to get rid of Saddam. Remember this: No one wants Saddam. Why isn't there more support for the US position? Playing the oil card is not sufficient to explain the lack of support. For what it's worth, by ignoring one of the prime actors in the ME one ensures that one's analysis is incomplete. One then gets led to faulty conclusions. If one adds to that the misinterpretation of those with whom one disagrees then very little light gets shed on the subject and a lot of heat is wasted. Try and listen to what France and Germany are saying. Ignore for a while the American press and search out independent sources.
