Friedman was pointed out that the French are Iraq's number one trading partner, to the tune of about 650 Million last year.

Be careful with such arguments. Iraq has oil reserves of about 300 million barrels. At $20/barrel that's a value of $6000 billion. Compare that to the alleged French trade volume of $0.6 billion - and you would quickly come to the conclusion that the USA has 10,000 times more reasons to invade Iraq than France to oppose an invasion.

A short report on Kissinger's and Friedman's appearance on "Charlie Rose" last night.

Thanks, Bill. Doesn't sound as if I missed anything. Early to bed these days.
