Consumer sentiment falls again in February By Rex Nutting

Consumer sentiment fell again in early February as worries about jobs and war mounted. The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index fell to 79.2 from 82.4 in January, the lowest in more than nine years. The expectations index plunged to 68.8 from 72.8, also the lowest since September 1993, while the current conditions index eased to 95.3 from 97.2. Economists expected the index to fall to 81.6.
