I enjoyed hawk's comments and I responded. If someone suggest's to me I'm stupid, I just agree or ask why or directly refute the assertion. I simply never think in ad hominem attack mindset. In my life I have learned often from making mistakes. I love figuring out how and why I made a mistake. I clearly used words that struck an emotional chord. What does that tell me. If you wish to understand why you may see what you and not I call ad hominem attacks in replies posted, consider that many hold many public officials in high regard. But none of this is directly about Foreign Policy Discussion, it's about how posts are made and how different folks interpret what is said. And that is a lot about Foreign Policy Discussions. I state clearly that any person who reads this. Mandela said about the United Nations. "Is this because the secretary general of the United Nations is now a black man?" he asked, referring to Kofi Annan. And that person suggests it is not an ad hominem attack is stupid. This is clearly suggesting my President is a racist. It is disgusting from any public official. You posted another subset of that article and used it to demonstrate your logic about ad hominem attack. Was that very smart upon reflection. Do you complain to the moderator because you see my clear logic and having no rational defense, attempt to redirect the discussion. I have a description for that also. quite amusing.
