Personally, I think the rift has been greatly exaggerated, and that exaggeration suits France and Germany just fine. Meanwhile, both nations speak with forked tongue, which is further proof that they are playing politics more than they are pushing for peace.


Forked tongue? Hardly. The only difference between what Schroeder is saying to the bundestag vs what he is saying to Bush is in degree.....he is much more adamant of his opposition to the war when he speaks to his own people.

And as far as what's going on between the US and GER/France.....its called diplomacy. Its what's presidents do.
