On the first crusade, when the Christians took Jerusalem, they slaughtered every man, woman, and child they could find. The rumor got out that the muslims had swallowed gold, so the kind "Christian" crusaders slit open their bellies and felt around for loot. For two hundred years this kind of incredible murder, torture, and rape was carried out by Christians, Muslims, and Monguls alike. Millions died, and not by weapons of mass destruction, but writhing around in agony until blood loss took the brain. Unbelievably how brutal it all was. But, it is simply a fact that the Christians, at the hysterical urging of Pope Urban II, started the whole thing. Prior to the invasion, Christians had been allowed to worship in Jerusalem and relative peace..but that wasn't good enough for the terrorists. If you want to see real terror, read about the Albigensian crusade, in which the pope butchered fellow Christians by the thousands, men, women, and children of all ages. This isn't a diatribe agains just the Christians; in fact the Monguls were much worse, but all of the brutes lived by the principles of terror.
