Steve, with regards to artificial inflation of assets, with me, you're preaching to the choir. Personally I know well we couldn't be in this mess if we were still on the constitutionally required precious metal backed currency. I'm an Atlas Shurgged kind of guy - just like Greenspan was (Gold and Economic Freedom - gold-eagle.com.

And I do believe we are in deep doo-doo, there's no question. Katie Couric turned from hard-ass white house journalist to tough Today show interviewer, to throwing in the towel until they offered her $14M to be a network mouthpiece. I'm with you in the "having cash available" department, as that is also the advice I've been giving out for some time. Whoever manages to not be in debt will own the US, and that doesn't appear to be the US citizens. The credentials of the media magnets who encouraged this endebtedness should be questioned IMHO.
