Germany is talking the talk, but isn't really walking the walk. By your own admission, Germany sent war materiel to Turkey, even after they vetoed a NATO resolution to defend Turkey in the event of war. What the leaders tell their own people and what their actions suggest are two different things, but they share one common thread: politics. I explained that to HMALY. America is using diplomacy to make their case for war. America is not using diplomacy; it is telling the world what it must do.....period! France and Germany are using diplomacy to make their case for peace. Saddam Insane uses diplomacy to play shell games and keep his weapons. North Korea uses diplomacy to spread their propaganda and extort favors from the free world. France and Ger. are suing diplomacy but they are making a bigger and far more serious case then you suggest. They are telling the US you may be a superpower but we are not under your thumb and will not jump to your demands. NK is fukking with the US because it can. Stupidly, Bush opened up that possibility. Everything you have seen so far is diplomacy. If Bush really didn't believe in diplomacy, he would have gone into Iraq already instead doing this song-n-dance with inspections. Bush is doing a "song-n-dance" because Americans have not bought his story hook, line, and sinker. ted
