It is clear from all of Reagan's writings and the papers released to his library that Reagan was anything but a moron....his detractors show themselves for the petty, partisan pinheads they are by maintaining that line....

Without the Clinton budget surpluses (8 years after Reagan left office) the Fed could not have enacted the dramatic interest rate cuts and the recession would have been much worse. That is an example of the Bush economy riding on the coat tails of the Clinton economy.
