I think that their fears are valid. I think that Germany and France have taken their stand WRT to the US. That bell will not be unrung in the McKie household. The advertisements will stress the strength and depth of ties between the two nations over the past half century. Good thing that they didn't make it 60 years, might have to remind them of my uncle who is buried in the American Military cemetary in Luxembourg...killed in the Battle of the Bulge.
