>>this board has gone off the deep end today!<<

Everybody (more or less) has lost their minds. The only people who know what's really going on are George W. Bush and the people who report directly to him, and they aren't saying. Nevertheless, the fact that a couple hundred thousand American and coalition troops are massing outside Iraq in ever growing numbers suggests to me that action of some kind is imminent.

My crystal ball is hazy, so I don't see the trigger. All the talk about "why," "why not," etc., has become irrelevant to me, I am just waiting for the trigger. We'll know it when we see it.

On the bright side, here in the DC metro area we are expecting two storms, back to back, the first dropping 4-6 inches tonight and tomorrow, the second 10 plus inches on Sunday. All the stockpiling of food, etc., was not in vain, after all.

As an aside -- gas prices here haven't gone up since they peaked when the Venezuela thing came to a head.
