We didn't think that much about it, just did the duck and cover when we were told to.

I think it's nice of Bush to give the anti-American world something to rally around. Since the death of communism the ultra-left has lacked any real focus for its rage. So now they can rally behind Saddam and support his acquisition and use of vast stores of chemical and biological weapons because it's the US that wants to save the world from those evils. And of course, they would rather not be saved than have the US save them.

So it's good of Bush to let the infants have their fun and games while the adults take care of making sure they can do it safely.

What fun it would be if a terrorist armed by Iraq would let loose some deadly gas right in the middle of one of these demonstrations. But I don't suppose it'll happen. After all, these people are on the Al Qaeda side, so why would they gas them, even though they could kill off thousands or tens of thousands of infidels at a time?
