That may be, which is why I said I'm wondering rather than stating a fact or strong opinion about it. Not being a contractor, I have no idea. Nor did I look it up or see a cost breakdown yet. No doubt the labor costs are a much greater proportion. Especially in California.

Nor am I afraid to make a ridiculous statement from time to time, either <g>. It's been known to happen. Thanks for the clarification.

That said, I doubt the Canadians think there's anything ridiculous about the tariff. From what I've heard, they're hopping mad.

Do you support these tariffs ?

My main point was, remodeling ain't cheap. And from what I've seen, very little that the shrub is doing is good for this country in the long run either. On that point, I won't back down, nor carry it any further here.

Wish I could remodel now as cheaply as you did in '93 though, heh heh.
