Ish, There was a period where there was friction between two factions. I think one of them was the rastifarians. Even there, they are considered to be out of the main stream. Usually, tourists are well respected, and catered to, since tourism is their primary industry. I wouldn't want to stray up into the mountains though.

You're right. I wouldn't want to be in 40 mph driven snow. When I was 16, my cousin and I had to go bring the cows into my Uncle's barn during a blizzard, along with the adults. We almost got lost, and damn near froze to death. When we heard them calling us, we followed the voices and got to the house. They put us in #3 wash tubs of hot water, after using luke warm water, and let us soak for awhile to thaw out. The only problem with that, was that my cousin was only 2 years younger than me, and a female. There we sat, buck naked, in those 2 tubs for about an hour.
