The point is, being "loyal to America" and being "loyal to Bush" CAN be the same thing; and in the case of a black man’s loyalty it is NOT necessarily the result of his being a “slave” as you are claiming. I think your tendency to use racism against Powell perhaps suggests blindness to the racist factors buried in your character. Likely we all have this sort of blindness, but in your case the racist nature of the assault is so clear you do yourself and your position a great disservice in continuing to employ it. You are trying to use a painful historical experience of Powell’s race to belittle the man himself, simply because he takes a certain political view.
