In the middle?...sorta like the guy seen on video tape stepping over a murder victim at the gas station in D.C.? Went inside, paid for his gas and left without calling 911...that kind of in the middle? The Congressional Budget Office has estimated the costs to the various phases should we go to war with Iraq. After reviewing their numbers, its very easy to see the war costing $140 billion or more. Lets say we spend all that money, commit the lives of a number of Americans, completely deplete whatever good will we have left in the world and more importantly, lose the cooperation of a very strong ally, and then one year later, terrorists take out the Statue of Liberty. Unlikely scenario........I don't know think so. Why? Cause its not Saddam that wants our head on a plate. Any number of bombastic presidents have committed us to enterprises/wars that were of no benefit, the Vietnamese War being one of the more recent catastrophes. Unfortunately, we do not always learn from past mistakes. So I wonder if you will still be spewing sarcasm as they tear down the remains of the Statue of Liberty and your tax bill takes a big jump? I wonder then how soon you will want to get into another war? Now, what were you saying about being in the middle, dude? NO IRAQI WAR!
