i see a distinction between shrub and his advisors. or at least some of his more vociferous advisors. the man himself does not strike me as being naturally predisposed to hostilites like, say, rumsfeld. he's a frat boy, bonhomie seems to be far more his style. at some point, if those americans opposing a war maintain their outspoken pressure, i expect the president to revert to his own mean. and if that happens he will have stepped out from under the shadow of his father and become his own president/man. personally, i would applaud him for it, and i suspect the electorate would as well. what the heck, i might even buy some stock if that happened. -g-
