Morning Troops! Cold overcast morning. Below freezing. Freezing rain and maybe flurries possible. Birds are going wild in the feeders stocking up on food. Brrrrr..... Got a fire going in the family room already. Good day to do paperwork and study charts for this week. Ought to be an interesting week with the market closed tomorrow and expiration. RR

Snow?!?!?!? Heck we got between 18" & 24" in the area. I had drifts several feet deep & the snow plow stacked a nice 40" pile of compacted snow across my driveway. At least the snow blower got it's first real workouts over the holiday weekend. I bought that sucker about 6 years ago because we were getting so dang much snow & my driveway is 3 cars wide. The snow plows seem to dump the heavy stuff along the driveways too :-\| And as usual, in the 4 winters that followed, I hardly had a half an excuse to even put gas in it. That snow blower sure acted like great snow insurance. Meanwhile, it's in the mid-40's & sunny today. Had a great long weekend with the better half. Hope I didn't spoil her too much :-o Been real busy all week. Lots of family stuff taking my time. Hope all is well with the RR clan! Tim

"Amazing to listen to the debates and some of the bull poop raised." That's putting it mildly RR. It's not just here on SI though. It's everywhere! People I talk to around here regurgitate all manner of BS they heard on the radio, read in the papers, or saw on the local/evening news, etc. It all must be true right!? Funny how political affiliation seems to determine what BS they hear & what they managed to NOT hear or read. It sure is amazing how accurately they can recall the stuff that supports their POV though, regardless of how spurious it may be........ yet they have absolutely no recollection whatsoever of anything that is contrary to their POV........ or they simply dismiss that stuff as all bunk & lies....... and you must be some sort of ƒµ¢£¡ñg Å$$hØë!! Commie nutcase for daring to point out anything contrary to their POV! There seems to be no middle ground & absolutely no desire to rationally discuss differences of opinion anymore. I keep the TV on in the background all day. CNN, FOX & MSNBC have an endless string of malodorous self proclaimed experts, politicians, etc., that spew all manner of hate, slander & the politics of personal destruction. Sadly most of their spew has no basis in fact even though they spin it as though it was written in the book by God himself. And most of the hosts of these shows join right in the melees. There's almost no rational debate, but there is plenty of bias on all fronts. There's almost no in depth discussions of the pro's & con's of differing opinions. Nope, even our so-called news organizations & shows are like Jerry Springer's show..... a stinking free-for-all replete with name calling, venom, countless spurious allegations, relentless interruptions & folks talking over the other guy (won't let the other guy get a word in edge-wise). I bet most of them will have no recollection of all the lies & slanderous allegations they made when the truth is eventually exposed. Of course, there's no such thing as truth or cold, hard facts anymore either........ regardless of how much irrefutable evidence that is brought to bear. Besides, when evidence continues to mount against your past acts of slander & insidious spew........ it's just a matter of redefining what you "really meant", lie some more, or redefine history even when your own words prove otherwise........ or resort to the latest trend........ ignore the indefensible, begin name calling & personally attacking the other guy with a new round of total BS. It's so sad that political agendas, personal beliefs & the politics of personal destruction have now replaced truth, facts, logic & reason in the process of discussing the pressing issues this country faces today. Ain't democracy great!?! Those same soldiers who are put in harms way to protect us & keep this country safe, will risk their lives so the rest of us can continue abusing our right to free speech. Enough ranting for now. I've been standing back & observing lately & I just had to let off some steam. OOF Ö¿Ö
