blair has now called for extension of inspections. he will almost certainly renew that call when this extension runs out. bush will not, imo, go to war without blair. and blair will not sink his own career for bush. i maintain my position that there will be no war in iraq this year. to that long-standing prediction i will add that at least one of rumsfeld/rice will be gone from the administration before the next election. they screwed this up long before 9-11, before they were even sworn in this administration was pissing off virtually everybody on the planet. now post 9-11 they're discovering that payback can be a real b-tch. not saying its right or wrong, but it is reality. you can't willynilly annoy people then expect them to agree with you when you suddenly need them.
