"If Bush and company are as cowboy as Win, Scott and the Franco-Prussian alliance paint them - why on earth would the Europeans push them into a corner where they might listen to the darker side of their party - and do something like ignore or withdraw from the UN."

John,
An excellent question? What they will certainly get down the road is a more isolationist america or at least an america who may not answer their calls for help when their terrorist threat becomes more evident. They fight to keep Turkey out of the EU and to deny the Turks Nato support. What they will end up with an internal islamic threat of far greater magnitude. mike

Haven't been. It's on the vacation agenda for a year from this summer. When we get ready, I'll ask you for a good list of places to eat, places to stay, etc.

John,

Has anyone mentioned that there are something like 7 million Arabs in and around Paris and all those nice monuments. It means a lot to the economy and their culture not to have any of those monuments blown apart. Myron
