We are seeing a global referendum on the foreign policy of the United States, and not a movement in support of Saddam. The US has created a deeply flawed policy -- a policy of unilateralism that destroys our capacity to work with others and that threatens the legitimacy and leadership capacity of the United States. The protests around the world speak loud and clear -- the foreign policies of George Bush are increasing the isolation of the United States at precisely the time when we need allies to rid the world of terrorism. These policies are harming our national security.
