New York Times story of what Saddam's defense. I hope this is what he is planning. Easy to beat if we get inside his time cycle. We have to be in Baghdad before he knows what is happening.

How exactly are the Iraqis supposed to do all this rushing to dispersed positions and pulling back to Baghdad when we will have cut their communications off, the first thing we do? Remember in Arab armies, only generals can make decisions. So this is a recipe for a lot of distributed, cut off units without the authority for independent decision-making. So the question becomes, will they stand and fight where they are, or will they surrender?
