so you're saying Vlad the Impaler was justified in committing mass murder because..he grew up in a bad neighborhood?

Only a (V)lad
He really couldn't help it
Only a (V)lad
He didn't want to do it
Only a (V)lad
He's underprivileged and abused
Perhaps a little bit confused...

It's not his fault that he can't believe
It's not his fault that he can't behave
Society made him go astray
Perhaps if we're nice he'll go away
Perhaps he'll go away
He'll go away

Haim, I didn't really mean to diss Romania -- 'or anyone else' -- it's just that I'm having a hard time understanding all the vitriol directed against France ...

As irritating as the French can be (and I do agree that DeGaule, in particular, was a pompous ass), they just might be right on occasion ... I know that's not your view in this instance (re. war with Iraq), but that doesn't make them necessarily wrong.

btw, I'm glad that you noted that there were some brave Frenchmen in WWII ... there's good and bad in all nations, imo.
