I think perhaps tb is referring to the general style of the Bush Administration in foreign policy, which has admittedly been abrasive, particularly as regards formerly great powers who hold no-longer-justified veto power at the SC. If that is the gist, I agree.


The issue for me is that Bush makes himself an issue. He is not an inspiring figure on the world stage. However, I object to the idea that the French/German behaviour is caused by the Bush style. I think it is structural and thus inevitable. Tekboy's comparrison to Blair is right on, though.
