<OT> I wonder what the correlation is between... the color coded terror alerts and stock market pivot points in the days before. I went to Home Depot yesterday and was floored by the amount of "ordinary" people STILL! buying plastic and duct tape. Sad very sad. Does anyone else here find it hugely irresponsible if not manipulative to issue alerts based on "here say" from the detainees in Cuba?. The latest was..."we based our decision on information from a detainee who later failed a polygraph test after the alert was issued". Who really thinks anyone of those detainees is in the least bit cooperative. This aint manipulation rocket science 101. This is a complex issue and I am not advocating something as linear that "someone" is manipulating the markets with fear, but really, having watched many bizarre blocks go off on my trading screens on 9/08/01 and presently seeing the divergence between common sense and reality...it sure leaves much to the conspir-ir-ist imagination. story.news.yahoo.com cbs.marketwatch.com
